Six children's roles in the project. I want living performances, not memorised lines. Which techniques actually work on set?

Do not give the kids the lines in advance. Explain the situation and the goal of the scene, the words will come.

Play games with them before the shoot. A couple of hours of games breaks the ice better than any rehearsal.
